Pati Bruce has always had a passion for drawing and painting and a fascination with color.  That passion led her to take drawing and painting classes as a child.  She then went on to get a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from the University of Denver. 

Pati has studied watercolor with Charles Reid, Jan Kuntz and Eva Marguerite. Painting in oils has become her most recent endeavor studying under Ken Auster and Jove Wang.

 Pati received a Masters Degree in Psychology and Art Therapy so as to reach out in her community.  As a Marriage, Family and Child Therapist she uses art therapy working with children who have chronic illness and emotional disabilities.

“My love of painting has led me to believe that when one engages in the process of creating, visually showing and participating in art, one uncovers and discovers new capacities and possibilities for growth and self awareness.”

Pati is a member of the Mid Valley Arts League and the California Art Club and has exhibited her work in galleries, group shows and public venues.
