As a draughtsman, Carole Katchen is a realist. Her work gives us a great deal of pure description of the human body, of the soul and of the milieu of her time. She gives of her own intellect, her feelings, her love for body and manifestations of life, and above all, she keenly observes reality without succumbing to mere appearances or impressions.

Carole’s art is not only a profession, but an obligation, the only way of attaining a certain truth. Carole sees modernism in a monumental fashion. She synthesizes and enchants it into a new convention which delivers the character and power of her expression.
